Hibbot

Made for movement

Dirk Wenmakers developed a walking aid for children with Cerebral Palsy*: the HIBBOT. The children have their hands free during walking. The therapists can analyse the walking pattern more detailed.
I.D.E. (Innovation & Design Euregio) made it possible to bring the technical concept into the next level together with Stan Maes Product Design. The project aim was to make it producible and visually more accessible for the people around.
* Cerebral Palsy = a loss or deficiency of motor control with involuntary spasms caused by permanent brain damage present at birth)
